If you are looking for landlord court cases by name, first check the lease and HPD registration. A building may use an LLC name that differs from the manager’s name. Try the exact legal name before a shortened version, and check each result’s address.
A matching name alone is not enough to connect a lawsuit to your landlord. Similar company names can refer to different entities, and an older case may involve a previous owner. Use the opening date, property and case identifier to separate them.
Read the case status before drawing a conclusion
An open case, a dismissed case and a judgment answer different questions. The HPD dataset summarizes agency litigation; use the official court record when you need the filings, orders or latest procedural status.
For eviction history, check the separate marshal dataset. A case can end without an eviction, and an executed eviction record does not explain the whole dispute. Keep the sources separate when comparing a building’s history.
