These terms apply when you use apartmentfaxnyc.com, an Apartment Fax report, or the Apartment Fax plugin in ChatGPT or Codex. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Apartment Fax is an informational public-record service. It is not legal advice, a housing inspection, a guarantee of safety, a tenant-screening service, or an official government record.

Public-record information

Apartment Fax compiles information published by New York City agencies. Records may be incomplete, delayed, duplicated, later corrected, or associated with a building rather than a particular apartment. Confirm important decisions with the source agency and qualified professionals.

Plugin use

The ChatGPT and Codex plugin provides a free, read-only preview for an NYC address. It cannot create an order, take payment, or deliver a paid report. Your use of ChatGPT or Codex is also governed by OpenAI's terms.

Purchases and delivery

Prices and payment terms are shown before checkout on apartmentfaxnyc.com. Stripe processes payments. Paid reports are delivered to the email address entered at checkout. If a report fails after payment, Apartment Fax may issue the refund described by the checkout flow. Contact support for a missing report, duplicate charge, or delivery problem.

Acceptable use

You may not:

Use the service for unlawful discrimination, harassment, or tenant screening.
Misrepresent a preview or report as an official agency record or inspection.
Attempt to bypass access controls, payment controls, or rate limits.
Interfere with the service or use automated traffic that unreasonably burdens it.
Resell or republish the service in a misleading way.

Ownership

Apartment Fax owns its software, design, compilation, and original report content. Government records remain subject to the rights and rules of their publishers. These terms do not give you rights to Apartment Fax trademarks or software.

Availability and disclaimers

The service is provided as available. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, complete source coverage, or that every agency record is current or accurate. To the extent permitted by law, Apartment Fax disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on a record.

Changes and contact
