Apartment Fax uses public records to research New York City apartments and buildings. This policy explains the data we handle when you use our website, buy a report, or use the Apartment Fax plugin in ChatGPT or Codex.

Information we handle

• The address and optional apartment number you search.
• Your email when you buy a report or contact us.
• Order, payment status, delivery, and refund records.
• Technical data such as your IP address, browser, device, referring page, page activity, and server logs.
• Messages and details you send us.

Stripe handles your card details. Apartment Fax does not store them. Reports may show property owners, registered agents, and other names already in public records.

ChatGPT and Codex plugin

The plugin is read-only. It receives the NYC address, optional apartment number, and basic request data needed to run and secure the lookup. It does not require an Apartment Fax account, collect your email, create an order, or take payment. OpenAI handles your use of ChatGPT or Codex under its own policies.

How we use information

• Find addresses and create previews and reports.
• Process orders, deliver reports, provide support, and issue refunds.
• Run, secure, fix, measure, and improve the service.
• Follow the law and prevent fraud, abuse, or disruption.

Service providers and public sources

We use outside providers for hosting, storage, payments, email, analytics, and business visitor or lead information. They receive only the data needed to do their work. We also send address searches to NYC geocoding and open-data services and read records published by city agencies.

Retention and security

We keep data as long as reasonably needed to run the service, keep business and security records, resolve disputes, and follow the law. We use reasonable safeguards, but no online service is completely secure.

Your choices

Browser settings and content blockers may limit analytics. To ask about, correct, or delete data you gave us, email omar@apartmentfaxnyc.com or hussein@apartmentfaxnyc.com. To correct a public record, contact the agency that published it.

Children and changes

Apartment Fax is not for children under 13. We may update this policy when the service or its providers change. The date above shows the latest version.
